hi there, the last month of the year. I did accomplish one of my goals of paying off one of my credit cards. However, I still have one more which I use mainly for shopping on the internet. My one weakness is buying books for my ereaders. It is so easy with one click transaction on Amazon that I tend to go overboard,but they have free samples which I take advantage of.

On another note, my son lost his job this summer and he is having a hard time finding another one. To make a long story short he had to move back home with me after 13 years. It is a major adjustment for me and I am saying prayers every day that something breaks for him because he is at rock bottom and if not for me he would be a homeless person. But I won't be around forever and I wonder just what he would do if I were to suddenly leave this earth.

hi, a new post from me after a long silence. I had a nice thanksgiving holiday spent with friends and family. I went to two dinners, one with Brian and his friends and the other with James and Ida and their family. There was was plenty of good food at both places and I mentally gave thanks that all of us were able to meet and have a good meal. I worry that at some point in the future this type of activity will be just treasured memory.

Hi, it's the end of the month and nearly the end of the year and I'm starting to think about the upcoming year and what I hope to accomplish. So far this year I made very little headway in the goals that I had set for myself. But on the positive side I continue to be grateful for good health, family and friends. It was once said in a geritol commercial that when you have your health you have everything.

Hi, I went to my cousin Floyd's memorial in Arkansas last weekend. It was a beautiful fall day and a fitting sendoff for him. He was such a loving, caring kind person. and he.. will be sorely missed.

I am reading some of my olde postings and I need to do serious editing before finalizing my posts. I sound like an uneducated, illiterate person. Not everyone has literary capabilities. And once upon a time I wanted to be a fiction writer. I had written a few poems and short stories. Now, I just write in my journal.

Today is the ten year anniversary of 911 and there are many programs to remember it. I had taped the news footage ten years ago and I guess that I will review some of it today. I just hop.e that nothing like this ever happens again.

I just had some bad news today, my oldest male cousin ,Floyd, has been diagnosed with stage four cancer.My prayers are with his family.

hi problem, problems, early this week my son called to tell me that his job is moving out of town to Minnesota which means he needs to find another job pronto. Another problem is that his car died after spending a ton of money to get it fixed. This was a problem of he generated by buying an old luxury car. When something breaks it tak.es luxury money to fix it. ..
I am trying to lose weight and to lower my cholesterol without taking more medication and I just hope that I succeed. Tonight, I woke early, as usual and I went downstairs to get something to drink and to bring my computer upstairs. Lo and behold, the area rug in front of my sink was
soaked so I will be calling my brother or a plumber to fix the link under my sink. I think its the faucet.

Well, the year is half over and at this point I take a look back and ask myself if I have done what I set out to do at the beginning of the year. I did pay down my credit card balance and I got my roof replaced,which was the big project for the year.

these were my spring tulips. I only wish that the critters around my house would have left the ones that I had planted in the back and on the side of the house alone. If they had eaten the bulbs,okay but they were just pulled out of the ground.

today was supposed the rapture with a lot of people being saved from impending destruction. So far the world is still ticking away as usual. This is supposed to have a follow up on October 21.We'll see.

well, my week off is almost over and while I didn't get all the things done that I wanted I did do a few of them. I have another week off next month and maybe I can do a bit more. Housework is something that I really hate.

this is such a wet and chilly spring. I'm off for the week and I hope to get some things done around the house. Since the weather is so miserable I won't be tempted to go out and about.

Hi just a note to let everyone know that I am still kicking. The biggest news this week is the death of Bin Laden at the hands of the US milithisary. I think the entire scenario is just a publicity stunt and history will bear witness.

slowly but surely I am entering the electronic age. I have 2 ereaders, a smartphone, a generic tablet. an upgrade to my digital camera collection and of course, my computer.

Yesterday, I got my income tax refund, which was deposited to checking account. This was the fastest that I have ever received my refund. Of course, I had to spend some of it on some treats for myself. I bought shoes, books, makeup,spring clothes-all in all I think I spent 250 of my refund.

It was one year ago today, that someone broke into my house and stole my computer. It was such a shock. that I was unable to go to work that night. My brother, Nate came by and helped me to secure the window by nailing heavy duty 2x4s over the window in my TV room. I am grateful that that was all that was done. I have heard of cases where the hoses were totally trashed. That is what happened to my Aunt Dora in St Louis. The police came right away and took a statement and informed me that I could make a claim to my insurance company. I was too upset to think of that. My insurance company paid me for the replacement for my computer and the repair for my windows. The whole situation made me get a burglar alarm system for my home.

Hi, today is my 65th birthday. I feel really blessed because longevity isn't in my family genes. So many of my aunts uncles, and cousins didn't make it this far. Of the ones who did, they have poor health or disabilities. I am truly grateful that I still have relatively good health, a home , a good paying job, and my family. Life is good.

Hi, haven't made an entry in awhile. The winter is coming to an end which can come soon enough for me.

I feel so proud of myself because I got my echeck for my car-it passed. Then i went and renewed my license sticker. Which I think is a rip off because it costs just as much for a plastic sticker as a metal license plate. Now, all I have to do is wait for the weather to warm up so that I can put the new sticker on. By this time next year I hope to have a newer car. My current one is eleven years old.

gradually getting my computer back to what it was. a lot of things i lost and some of my older programs don't work like they used to.

boy o boy, restoring my computer is a major undertaking. i hope that i don't have to this again anytime soon.

i hope that this is the last time i have to restore my computer from a virus attack.
